The Three Lions will learn their UEFA Women's Euro 2013 fate on Friday

England Women will learn their Euro 2013 fate on Friday when the Finals draw is made in Gothenburg, from 5.30pm GMT.

Three groups of four teams will be pulled out, with England among the second set of seeds alongside Norway and Italy.

The Three Lions will be pitched against one of the top seeds – hosts Sweden, holders Germany and France – and any two from Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Russia, Netherlands and Spain.

Hope Powell’s charges finished runners-up in 2009 and qualified unbeaten for next summer’s showpiece.

This will be England’s fifth successive appearance at a major tournament and captain Casey Stoney believes it is now time for her side to really make their mark on the world stage.

She said: “The fact that we’ve qualified for the last five [tournaments] says it all.

“We have reached the quarter finals in two of them, a Final in our last Euros and we are looking to better that. We need to go to major tournaments and start thinking about winning them.

“We don’t know who we will get in the group yet so we can’t say anything but it’s a massive tournament.

“It will be great to play in Sweden, they do [women’s] football very well out there so we are looking forward to it.”

The Finals will take place between 10 and 28 July 2013.
