Continuing TheFA.com series of 'Snap-Shot Reviews', talking to the England coaching team for their highlights of the year and their expectations for the next

...this time we talk to Assistant National Women's coach, Brent Hills...

What is your most memorable football moment of the year?

Beating Iceland to make it through to the 2003 Women's World Cup Play-off Final

What is the best goal you have seen this year?

A goal scored by Shannon MacMillan for the USA v Norway in the Algarve Cup. It was a screamer from 25-30 yards and I haven't seen many of those this year.

Who is your world player of the year?

If our own Kelly Smith was not injured I would have gone for her because I believe she has performed at the highest level of club football in the USA professional league and because I also think she still can develop parts of her game even further, but I suppose Birgit Prinz of Germany has been consistent and won major trophies in both Europe and the USA this past year.

Your regret?

Not beating France and therefore missing out on the 2003 Women's World Cup

Give us a tip of a of a young player to watch out for next year (English or Non English)

There are several young English players and it is a little unfair to pick one, but if you force my hand I would say watch out for Fara Williams of Charlton if she can continue to develop her game at international level

Biggest aim for next year?

To produce a winning performance with the senior team against one of the "big 5" nations which I believe will give us the confidence to move to the next level in our development

New year's resolution?

To eat less when away with England teams!
