Defender hopes to take his form into Ukraine game.
England defender Kyle Walker hopes he can take his form against Spain into Wednesday’s match with Ukraine as the Young Lions look to boost their chances of a place in the semi-final.
Walker’s energy and forward-running from right-back was one of the most eye catching aspects of England’s play in Herning on Sunday and it was his run forward and pass in the area which set up Danny Welbeck for the equalising goal.
The Tottenham Hotspur man was typically modest in his post-match assessment though, telling FATV: "That's a big part of my game, that's what I'm here for and I hope I can continue with that into the next game.
"I thought it was a good result against Spain though and if the game had have gone on a couple more minutes we might have won it.”
The Spanish enjoyed the better of the possession during the game but never really looked like hurting England too much and it was David de Gea who was the busier of the two goalkeepers over the course of 90 minutes.
And Walker was pleased with the way the back four performed, with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in the centre and Ryan Bertrand at left-back impressing.
"We knew they were always going to have a lot of possession,” admitted Walker. “But our main objective as a back four was be to keep focused and talking.
"With the lads we have in the changing room, I think we can beat anyone. There are goals in the team and we proved that tonight.”
