Under-21s star Nathaniel Clyne has told England fans just why he likes being a defender.

The Southampton youngster spent Wednesday night answering  questions at St. George's Park in an exclusive Twitter chat via @FA.

Clyne is part of Stuart Pearce's squad readying themselves for their Euro 2013 warm-up match against Romania in Wycombe on Thursday night.

He also told followers posing questions via the social networking site that Tottenham Hotspur's Gareth Bale is the hardest player he's faced and which was his most memorable game for the Saints this season.

And of course, there was the inevitable 'Messi or Ronaldo' question. But who did Clyne choose?
