England U21s met up at St. George's Park on Monday and trained ahead of the double-header
England Under-21s met up at
St. George's Park on Monday and were soon in action on the training field and FATV were on hand to catch some of the best moments.
Stuart Pearce and his side are preparing for matches against
Romania at Wycombe on Thursday and
Austria in Brighton next Monday.
Following a busy weekend of League fixtures, some of the players did a recovery session in the impressive medical facility at the 330-acre site in Burton upon Trent.
For those out on the Aztec pitch they were able to enjoy a late afternoon session in the bright spring sunshine as they all look to earn a place in the team with berths on the plane to Israel in June up for grabs.
Pearce originally called up 28 players last week. However, Norwich City defender Ryan Bennett didn't meet up with the squad in Staffordshire and remained with his club and Steven Caulker has been drafted into the Senior side.
There were returns to Under-21s training for a number of players who have missed recent get-togethers, including Liverpool's Raheem Sterling and Blackpool's Nathan Delfouneso.
Meanwhile, Birmingham City stopper Jack Butland showed why he's so highly-rated, pulling off a fine save from Tom Carroll's curler during the small-sided game at the end of the session [
