England Under-21s keeper Jason Steele says Gaizka Mendieta is the best player he's played with.
The Middlesbrough man was answering fans' questions in an exclusive
Twitter chat via @FA in Preston.
Steele is part of the Young Lions squad readying themselves for their encounter with Northern Ireland in Blackpool on Tuesday night.
And he tweeted in response to one fans question that the Spaniard, who won the Champions League before moving to the Riverside, was a star in the five-a-sides, and would always end up on the winning team.
The 22-year-old also revealed who his favourite ever England player is and also what sport he likes to play in his spare time.
Steele also looked back fondly on his time on loan at Northampton Town, a place he said made him a man.
