Jonjo Shelvey underlines his undoubted talent during Under-21 training
Jonjo Shelvey had long been earmarked as a precocious talent and 2012 was the year the midfielder really started to make a name for himself.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has increasingly called on the 20-year-old this season and he hasn’t disappointed, putting in a number of impressive displays for the Anfield club.
The Romford-born youngster has represented England at U16, U17, U19 and Under-21 level and he made his senior team debut against San Marino in October.
And behind today’s advent calendar window is a sumptuous 20-yard curler from Shelvey, captured at training ahead of the Under-21s’ 4-0 win over Belgium in February.
