England U20s Head Coach Brian Eastick and captain Jason Lowe spoke on Thursday ahead of their World Cup opener against Korea DPR.

After two weeks of preparation for the competition, the time is almost here for the games to start and both Eastick and Lowe are eager for the action to get underway as they revealed at the official FIFA press conference in Medellin.

"Korea DPR are a very good team, they're Asian champions and we've seen a lot of the DVDs from their games so we're under no illusions that it's going to be a difficult match," said Eastick.

"They're a very disciplined team, with a great work ethic and we will have to match that work ethic if we are going to win this match.

"It will be a very good test for us, as you'd expect in any World Cup match."

Lowe, who was told that he would captain the Young Lions after training on Thursday, echoed his manager's thoughts by adding: "We have a game plan which we feel will help us to win the game.

"As the manager said, they have a good work ethic and will work hard for each other, so we have to match that.

"We're very confident with the ball and we know what we have to do to win the game and if we stick to the game plan, I feel we can get the result.

"It's a great honour to captain the side and something I'm looking forward to doing.

"I hope the experiences that I've had last season, such as playing against sides like Chelsea, can only help me in this World Cup."
