Harry Kane’s football education is continuing apace with Millwall at the moment and after playing in The FA Cup Fifth Round ten days ago and then scoring in the Championship against Burnley at the weekend, he returns to the international fold on Tuesday with the U19s.

Noel Blake’s Young Lions take on Czech Republic at Leyton Orient, live on FATV, and for Walthamstow-born Kane it’s a return to familiar surroundings following another loan spell there from parent club Tottenham Hotspur last season.

“Obviously I played there plenty of times last year,” he said “It was a great experience for me, playing first team football in the league, so I’m looking forward to it.

“Every player has got to impress the Manager now. With this being the last match before the Qualifiers, we’ve got a great chance to show what we’ve got and what we can do.”

Kane has been a regular for England in recent years, playing at both U17 and U19 level and after featuring in the matches this season, he believes they can approach May’s Elite Qualifying Round games with confidence.

“It’s a great squad in this year group and the competition is everywhere, in all of the positions on the pitch,” he added. “So all you can do is go and try to do your best and impress the Manager, firstly in training and then hopefully take it onto the pitch on the night.”

The full interview with Kane can be read in matchday programme on Tuesday night.
