With just over 24 hours to go until their first match with Switzerland, England U19s are putting the focus into their preparation in order to try and make a bright start to the European U19 Championships.

The Young Lions take on the Swiss at the Metalurh Stadium in Donetsk on Tuesday evening (3pm BST) in what is the opening game of Group A, with Ukraine playing Slovenia in the other match later.

Head Coach Brian Eastick now has a full squad of 18 players to select from, after only 15 players made the initial journey here on Friday.

Defender Matthew Briggs arrived 24 hours later after returning from Fulham's pre-season tour of Australia and both Declan Rudd and Kyle Walker linked up with the team on Sunday to complete the roll call.

England will be based in Donetsk for the next week at least, with their other two group fixtures coming against Ukraine on Friday and then Slovenia on Monday 27 July.
