England U19s and Everton starlet John Lundstram joins Doncaster Rovers on loan
John Lundstram has taken the latest step in his young career by joining Doncaster Rovers on loan.
The England U19s and Everton midfielder has signed an initial one month deal with the League One outfit and will be looking to add some domestic experience to his international caps.
The 18-year-old has been in fine form for the Young Lions this season and will certainly be in familiar territory at the Keepmoat Stadium, after captaining England there earlier this month.
Lundstram was among England's best performers in
a 3-1 victory over Denmark U19s, a display which was described by Rovers boss Brian Flynn as 'an outstanding individual performance.'
And he will now be working with Flynn as Doncaster chase an automatic promotion spot in League One.
The Liverpool-born star has been a regular for England since making his U17s debut in August 2010.
He went on to feature for John Peacock's side in the 2010-11 campaign as they reached
the Euro semi-final in Serbia and then the
World Cup quarter final in Mexico.
And he
captained England U18s in 2012 before being selected in
Noel Blake's U19 squad for the Euro Finals in Estonia last summer, despite being a year younger than most of the players involved.
He capped off an impressive tournament there with the opening goal in
England's win 2-1 against France in Tallinn as Blake's side went on to reach the semi-final.
England U19s are next in action on Thursday 26 March, when they
play Turkey U19s at AFC Telford's New Buck's Head Stadium.
