U17s Head Coach happy at SGP ahead of Tournament opener with Italy.
England U17s kick-off the St. George's Park International Tournament against Italy in Burton on Wednesday evening after preparing for the match at the new St. George's Park facility nearby.
And Head Coach John Peacock told FATV that it's been a good few days of work for the Young Lions, using both the outdoor and indoor facilities at their disposal.
"It's been very good," explained Peacock. "Because of the weather, we've trained indoors in this fantastic facility as well as outdoors on the grass pitches.
"It will be a tough game against Italy and we've got great opposition this week so it's a real challenge for the players and it's one that we're all relishing."
The squad will also meet Roy Hodgson ahead of the game, before the England Manager heads with them to the Pirelli Stadium to watch the match and that's something Peacock says will be a great boost for the players.
"They're looking forward to that," he added. "I think it's great that the England Manager is prepared to come down and watch some of the junior development teams."
