England drew 1-1 with Romania in Algarve opener.
On Thursday afternoon in a scorching hot Lagos, England U17s drew 1-1 with Romania in their opening match of the Algarve Tournament.
Before the game, Head Coach John Peacock said he was using the three games in Portugal as preparation for next month’s UEFA European U17 Championship Elite Qualifying Round and he will be pleased with the way his side came from a goal down.
Gabriel Iancu gave Romania the lead in the 25th minute but Luton Town forward Cauley Woodrow equalised early in the second half to earn the Young Lions a point.
