England U17s will face opposition from hosts Germany, Netherlands and Turkey in the first stage of the European Championship Finals in May. John Peacock's team sealed their qualification for the final stage of the competition last month when they progressed through the Elite Qualifying Round ahead of Portugal, Serbia and Hungary with impressive victories over all three of them.
The draw was made on Friday morning in Leipzig and was conducted by UEFA’s General Secretary David Taylor and the German FA’s Technical Director and former national team captain Matthias Sammer.
Matches will be played in 12 different German cities in the regions of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, with the Final being played at the 25,000 capacity Magdeburg Stadium on Monday 18 May.
Eurosport will broadcast live nine matches from the Finals, including both Semi-Finals and the Final.
The Young Lions, who will be based in Jena, are in Group B whereas Group A is made up of Spain, Italy, France and Switzerland. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals and the initial group fixtures will be released within the next seven days.
