England U17s take on Italy on Sunday, in their final game of The FA International U17 Tournament, when they will be hoping to build on Friday’s victory against Israel.

After unfortunately losing their opener to Portugal last Wednesday, the Young Lions got the win they deserved against Israel at London Road on Friday and Head Coach John Peacock now has something of a selection dilemma after seeing all of his 18 player squad in action.

“We had seven changes to the team from Wednesday against Israel, so everybody has now played and it’s given me a chance to look at everyone very carefully on what they can do and what we need to be better at,” said Peacock.

“It’s now down to me to pick a side for Sunday based on what I’ve seen over the last two games.

“Italy will be a different challenge for us. They beat the Israelis by 1-0 on Wednesday, just as we did on Friday.

“England against Italy at whatever level is always an interesting game and it will be very competitive, so I don’t suspect it will be any different on Sunday afternoon.”
