Goals from Reece Mitchell and Jordan Houghton seal win over UAE.
England U16s made it two wins in two days in the Montaigu Tournament on Thursday, to give themselves a good chance of progressing to the Final.
Kenny Swain's side, who beat Uruguay in their opening match on Wednesday, were up against the UAE and made a fine start as Reece Mitchell put them ahead in the ninth minute.
UAE scrambled an equaliser within five minutes, only for captain Jordan Houghton to slot home and give England a half time lead.
Houghton then got his second of the game three minutes into the second half and England held that two goal cushion until the last minute when UAE pulled a second goal back.
The result means that England only need a draw from their final group game with Guinea on Saturday to reach the Final, which will be played on Monday against the winners from the second group containing France, Portugal, USA and Japan. France and Portugal lead the way in that group, having collected two wins each so far.
