Kenny Swain has named his England U16s squad for next month's match with Germany in Cologne.
The Young Lions will travel abroad for the first time as a group following their
success in the Victory Shield earlier this season and prior to the Montaigu Tournament later in the year.
Many of the players who featured in squads over the course of the Victory Shield matches are included in Swain's
18-man group, but there are new faces included too as Reading goalkeeper Lewis Ward gets a chance to impress.
Last season's U16 group played Spain in February 2012 and
came away from Las Rozas with a 1-0 victory and Swain, assisted by
Noel Blake and
Martin Thomas, will be hoping for a similar performance from this fixture.
The squad will train at
St. George's Park prior to travelling to Cologne.
