Last week’s postponed Victory Shield match between England and Scotland has been re-arranged for Thursday 16 December.

The original game, scheduled for 2 December, was called off due to the adverse weather conditions that have swept across the country in recent weeks, but the hope is that Kenny Swain’s U16s can avoid a third straight postponement in this season’s competition.

The Globe Arena pitch was deemed unplayable following last Thursday’s pitch inspection, but Morecambe FC’s home ground has again been selected as the venue for this season’s clash between the Auld Enemy.

England have only played one Victory Shield game so far this season; a 4-0 defeat to Wales in October. Their second match, against Northern Ireland in November, was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at The Oval, Glentoran FC, but that game is now being played this Thursday (9 December) instead.
