Jordan Pickford, Robbie Cotton and Raheem Sterling have all been called into England U16 squad for the match against Northern Ireland on Thursday 5 November, with the latter receiving his maiden U16 call-up.
The trio replace Bradley Watkins, Luke Hendrie and Jordan Cousins respectively as Kenny Swain's side seek their second Victory Shield win of the season, after their 1-0 triumph over Wales last month. On that occassion, a late header from Zak Ansah was enough to give the Young Lions the three points. Northern Ireland lost their opening Victory Shield fixture 2-1 to Scotland.
Pickford played in the win over Wales, pulling off a number of confident saves en route to keeping a clean sheet. Cotton also played the full 80 minutes at Yeovil, impressing from midfield and adapting well to a change in formation.
