On Thursday 5 November, Deva Stadium, home to Chester City FC, will host England’s second Victory Shield match of the season.
England opened their ninth defence of the Victory Shield with a 1-0 win over Wales last week, courtesy of a late Zak Ansah header, and they will be looking to make it six points from six on Bonfire Night. Northern Ireland lost their Shield opener 2-1 to Scotland.
Chester City hosted this fixture in 2005 when the visitors edged a tight contest 1-0. They also staged The FA Women’s Premier League Cup Final between Arsenal and Tranmere Rovers in 2001.
England eased to a 6-0 triumph in last season’s encounter between the sides, with Arsenal’s Benik Afobe scoring twice.
Tickets for this season’s clash can be purchased in advance, priced £3 for adults (£5 on the day) and £1 for concessions.
