14 man group named for Preliminary Round in Macedonia.

England Futsal Head Coach Peter Sturgess has named his squad for the Preliminary Qualifying Round of the UEFA Futsal European Championships, which takes place in January.

The Three Lions face opposition from hosts Macedonia, Georgia and Estonia in the games, which take place over four days in Skopje as the teams involved look to take one step closer to the Finals in Croatia in 2012.

It will certainly be competitive too, as only one team from the four involved can progress to the next round which will see the winners pitted against Poland, Belarus and Portugal in February.

England will travel to Macedonia in confident mood too, after two impressive victories over Andorra in Loughborough last month.

A record 42 teams are competing for just 11 places in the Finals, which take place in early 2012. 18 of those sides were given a bye to the Qualifying Round, including current holders Spain.
