Ian Bateman names his ten players for upcoming World Championship in Japan

Head Coach Ian Bateman has named his England Partially Sighted squad for the upcoming IBSA Futsal World Championship in Japan.

The Three Lions will travel to Sendai where they will take on Ukraine, Russia, Japan, Spain and Turkey.

England’s ten-strong panel is headed up by long-serving captain Steve Daley and John McDougall, a veteran of two previous World Championships.

There are first senior call-ups for 16-year-old Paul McHugh, and goalkeepers Jose Lima and Dafydd Jones, while Adam Lione is also included after impressing for the Development team in 2012.

The Championships will take place between 6-12 February.

What Do You Think?

  • I think England's partially sighted futsal football team should be shown on tell, because it would be nice to watch some different players from england. I am an 8 yr old football player and my coach John mcdougall is playing in Japan at the world championships I would love to get the opportunity to watch them. Please tell me why we can't find results etc.By Kenziecoo (3 months ago)
