Goalkeepers


Name: Lauren Davey
Born: 01.06.91
Club: Watford

Lauren played in the Women’s U17 World Cup in 2008 and her penalty save from Japan’s Natsumi Kameoka in a quarter final shoot-out helped book England a place in the last four.

Name: Rebecca Spencer
Born: 22.02.91
Club: Arsenal

Rebecca was part of the successful U19 side that won the European Championship in Belarus. She also starred in the U20 World Cup in Chile in November 2008. Last season she won all three domestic trophies with Arsenal.

Defenders

Gemma Bonner
Born: 13.07.91
Club: Leeds Carnegie

Another player who experienced Euro joy in July as she was part of Mo Marley’s successful U19 team in Belarus. Gemma also scored the winning spot-kick against Japan in the quarter final of the Women’s U17 World Cup.

Name: Lucy Bronze
Born: 28.10.91
Club: University of North Carolina

Formerly of Sunderland, Lucy has recently moved to America and now plies her trade for her University side. Another member of England’s U17 World Cup squad at the end of 2008.

Name: Lyndsey Cunningham
Born: 30.08.91
Club: Nottingham Forest

Lyndsey can operate at both centre-back and right-back and has already played first-team for Nottingham Forest in The FA Women’s Premier League. This is Lyndsey’s first England call-up.

Name: Gilly Flaherty
Born: 24.08.91
Club: Arsenal

Another member of Arsenal’s successful treble-winning side last season, Gilly starred in Belarus putting in a number of fine performances as England went on to claim the European title. Her versatility could be key during this tournament.

Name: Stephanie Marsh
Born: 15.10.91
Club: Everton

Stephanie can play anywhere on the left-hand side of the pitch and will be keen to impress during this tournament. Stephanie was also part of the England U17 World Cup squad in 2008.

Midfielders

Name: Laura Coombes
Born: 29.01.91
Club: Arsenal

An attacking midfielder with technique in abundance, Laura spent a large part of last season out of action due to a knee injury. She has since returned to the international fold and was another player who went to Belarus in July.

Name: Emma Follis
Born: 06.01.92
Club: Aston Villa

Like Lyndsey Cunningham, this is Emma’s first England call-up. A right-footed player, though she is comfortable on either wing, she will be hoping to stake her claim for a place in the starting eleven over the next three games.

Name: Jessica Holbrook
Born: 01.08.92
Club: Everton

Jess netted the only goal against Nigeria in the Women’s U17 World Cup in New Zealand and will no doubt be looking to get her name on the scoresheet over the course of this week.

Name: Jordan Nobbs
Born: 08.12.92
Club: Sunderland

Jordan scored three goals in last season’s U19 Euros, including the second goal against Sweden in the Final. She also captained England during last year’s U17 World Cup in New Zealand.

Name: Abbie Prosser
Born: 04.09.91
Club: Arsenal

Abbie has been with Arsenal since she was nine and made her Premier League debut against Fulham in March. A calm and confident player, Abbie has also represented England at U17 level.

Forwards

Name: Lauren Bruton
Born: 22.11.92
Club: Arsenal

Lauren is one of five Arsenal players in the squad and she was on the scoresheet in England’s 3-0 win over Brazil in the Women’s U17 World Cup in 2008. Lauren was another member of Marley’s title-winning squad in Belarus.

Name: Isobel Christiansen
Born: 20.09.91
Club: Everton

Isobel scored two goals in last season’s U19 Euros, against Iceland and Switzerland. The Everton forward also scored a dramatic late equaliser against Japan in the U17 World Cup, which England went on to win after a penalty shoot-out.

Name: Toni Duggan
Born: 25.07.91
Club: Everton

Toni has become an important member of England’s development squads, scoring key goals in major tournaments. She grabbed four goals in last season’s U19 Euros, including the opener in the Final, and two goals during the 2008 U20 World Cup.

Name: Rebecca Jane
Born: 31.03.92
Club: Chelsea

Rebecca scored in the U17 World Cup semi-final defeat to North Korea and impressed in the Chelsea first-team last season with her hunger and commitment.

Name: Lucy Staniforth
Born: 02.10.92
Club: Sunderland

Along with Jordan Nobbs, Lucy Bronze and Demi Stokes, Lucy was part of the Sunderland team that reached last season’s FA Women’s Cup Final.

Name: Demi Stokes
Born: 12.12.91
Club: Sunderland

Demi scored for Sunderland against Bristol Academy en route to The FA Women’s Cup Final last season and then travelled to Belarus to play her part in England’s success.
