Peter Taylor has revealed that Jonathan Stead will be starting on Friday night in front of his home crowd in Blackburn.

With two wins from two in the qualifying campaign so far Taylor certainly has no intention of making major changes in personnel, as he exclusively told TheFA.com for England TV:

"Jonathan Stead will play" he confirmed, "I’ve been very impressed with Jonathan.

"He’s been disappointing in front of goal, that's the only thing, but that’s happened for Blackburn and the Under-21s.

"I think the only thing missing from his game is a goal and a bit more confidence when he does score - I’m hopeful he can play on his home ground and get us a goal.

"We’ve played three matches, one friendly and two qualifying games, and the team has done very well - I think the players that have played deserve to stay there."
