Carlton Cole is in great form for both club and country after he netted twice against the Ukraine in a friendly earlier this month.

Arsenal's David Bentley, on-loan at newly-promoted Norwich City, has also enjoyed a fabulous start to his England Under-21 career and has a further chance to impress.

He scored for the Canaries in their 2-2 draw away to Newcastle United whilst James Milner and Glen Johnson are other Premiership players included.

Jermaine Pennant is the most capped player in the squad having played 20 times at this level already.
