England 2-0 Russia: Highlights

England Under-20 striker Daniel Graham scored a crucial first-ever Premiership goal for Middlesbrough at the weekend.

Graham came to the rescue of his side as he headed home an equaliser with just five minutes remaining on the clock.

Graham, 19, was playing in his fifth Premiership match since he made his debut for Boro at Old Trafford in October.

Speaking to TheFA.com, England Under-20 Coach John Peacock said he was very pleased with the striker's continuing progress.

"I'm delighted for him - it's nice to see that he has scored his first Premiership goal, which is always a bit of a landmark," Peacock said.

"I had the pleasure of working with him around the Russia game and he was excellent to work with. He played the full game and did very well."

Graham is one of a number of England youth players to have emerged from the Middlesbrough Academy over the past few years and the success of their system is not lost on Peacock.

"I know Dave Parnaby [Middlesbrough's Academy Director] from my days at Derby and they just do things well up there.

"They have a good work ethic and scout very well and the emergence of so many players is a result of a lot of hard work."
