England U19 hitman Daniel Sturridge has spoken of the desire within the camp to progress to the semi-final of the European Championship in the Czech Republic.

The Young Lions face a make or break game with Greece on Sunday, knowing that a win could be enough to send them through to Wednesday's semi-finals and will also secure England a place at the U20 World Cup in Egypt next year.

Firstly though, all attention is focused on winning the match on Sunday.

"Everyone is raring to go for the game and we know we have to get a win to go to the World Cup at least, and obviously if the Italians slip up and the Czechs win or draw, we'll go through to the semi-finals," Sturridge told TheFA.com

"So hopefully the results go our way, we can do the business and we'll go through."

The Manchester City ace feels that the football played by England in both of their Group B games means they would be unfortunate not to progress, but that opening match defeat to the hosts could prove costly.

"We played some good football in the first game, we were just unlucky not to create as many opportunities as we would have liked to, but against Italy we played them off the park and hopefully we can do the same against Greece and take a few chances," he added.

"We are all in a great position because we know we have to win, the Greeks know they have to win, the Italians need a win and the Czechs really need a draw.
