Thursday, 15 September 2005.
England U19 coach Martin Hunter has named his 18-man squad for the forthcoming UEFA U19 Friendly Tournament in Poland.
The Three Lions will face the Czech Republic and two representative teams from Poland in a dummy run of next year's UEFA U19 European Championship.
England's high ranking means they won't enter qualifying for the European Championship until the Elite Qualifying Round stage in the spring of 2006.
So whilst the first qualifying stage occurs around Europe, England will head to Eastern Europe for three friendlies in the build-up to their qualification campaign.
The squad sees the return of Lee Holmes, an integral member of England's great run to the final of last year's UEFA U19 European Championship.
Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson, who impressed in the U19s first outing against Belgium earlier this month, is also rewarded with another call-up, as are goalscorers Jimmy Smith and James Walker.
