England U19 v Czech Republic U19
Wednesday 06 October 2004
Norwich City FC, Carrow Road
Kick off 7.45 pm
The England Under-19 team take on the Czech Republic at Carrow Road next month and The Football Association and Norwich City FC have announced that tickets are on sale now.
England’s young guns play the Czech Republic on Wednesday 06 October 2004, kick-off 7.45pm, in what will be their first game since defeating the Irish earlier this month in Cork and fans are urged to get their tickets early to avoid disappointment.
The Under-19s are now unbeaten in their last three games and the 2-0 victory in Cork was capped by a late goal from young Norwich star Ryan Jarvis.
Head coach Martin Hunter (left) will be hoping for the same result against the Czechs in what is the Under-19s first home international of the new season.
Urging the Norfolk fans to get behind England, Martin Hunter said: "This is a really exciting time to be involved in the England set-up. We couldn’t wish for a better venue to be playing our first home game of the season.
"Carrow Road is a fantastic venue for international football and I am sure the local fans will come along in force and create a great atmosphere."
Norwich City Club Secretary Kevan Platt commented: "Everyone at Norwich City is looking forward to the game.
"We have previously hosted two Under-21 games and on each occasion England scored four goals - hopefully the Under-19s will be able to repeat that feat!
"It promises to be a great evening and I'm sure the football loving people of Norfolk will create a tremendous atmosphere for the young lads to perform in."
