The match, which will kick off at 18.00, will be the Under-18s first taste of football this season, and the first time the squad will have played together since their agonising exit from the UEFA Under-17s Championship on penalties at the hands of Spain.

It is also notable for being Dick Bate's first game in charge of the side, having coached the Under-19s last season, and he is certainly looking forward to the occasion:

"I’m very much looking forward to working with the boys for the first time, and am glad my first match is against Scotland. They'll provide a tough challenge but hopefully we can go into the festive period on a high."
