UEFA European U17 Championship
Elite Qualifying Round
March 2007, Bosnia
England have been pitted against Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Azerbaijan in the draw for the Elite Qualifiying Round of the UEFA European U17 Championship which took place in Nyon on Tuesday.
The ties will take place in Bosnia from the 23 to 28 March, and only the winners of Group 3 will take their place at the Finals in Belgium in May.
Last season the U17s played at home at this round of the competition, but despite some strong performances they lost out to Russia who made it to the Finals in Luxembourg.
England came up against Serbia and Montenegro in 2005 (before the secession this year) and were triumphant with an impressive 3-1 win. There were goals from Myles Weston, Joe Garner and Theo Walcott.
With three wins in their group in 2005 the U17s made it to the Finals that year in Italy.
The dates for the games are as follows:
Friday 23 March 2007 - Match Day 1
Sunday 25 March 2007 - Match Day 2
Wednesday 28 March 2007 - Match Day 3
