Denmark 2-0 England
Nordic International Tournament

England U17s suffered defeat to Denmark in their final group match of the Nordic International Tournament.
Needing only a draw to reach the final, England started strongly in the 10,000 capacity Hietalahti stadium, passing the ball with confidence.
Despite good build-up play, however, England lacked the incisiveness in the final third to punish the Danes.
Lee Cattermole came closest with a venomous free-kick from 35 yards that struck the post, but it was not to be for England and the sides went in all level at half time.
After the break Denmark gradually began to dominate play, and on 58 minutes Nicklas Bendtner's strike left England with plenty to do.
John McDermott's side continued to push forward, but could not unlock the Danish defence, and Bendtner's second of the night, with just three minutes remaining, ended England's hopes of reaching the final.
