Doncaster Rovers, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday have been confirmed as the venues for England’s three matches, with Wednesday’s Hillsborough hosting the opening match.

England will line up against Armenia at Sheffield Wednesday on 24th March, kick-off 7pm, before facing Iceland at Doncaster Rover’s Belle Vue stadium two days later on Friday 26th March, also kicking off at 7pm. England’s final match will be held at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane on Sunday 28th March when they take on Norway (kick-off 3pm).

The forthcoming matches are vital to England’s Under 17 team, who will need to finish top of the qualifying group to book their place in the UEFA Championship Finals, which take place in May.

The Under-17s are currently preparing for the four-team Algarve Tournament, which starts on  21st February. England will be keen to build on the 1-1 draw against Switzerland at Bristol City’s Ashton Gate in November, their last outing on home soil.

Coach John Peacock said: "The UEFA European Under-17 Championship will provide an excellent platform for our talented youngsters to pit their wits against international opposition.

"I hope that the local fans will come out in force and support our young players and I hope the team will respond to them with some positive results."
