England Under-15s have won the annual Montiagu Tournament in France, beating Italy on penalties in the final.
Dick Bate's side beat Argentina in the first game, thanks to a penalty from Everton's Steven Schumacher. In the second game, England beat France, with Glen Johnson, of West Ham, scoring the only goal of the game.
History was made in England's final group game, against Burkina Faso. Records show that England have never played a match at any level against the African nation. In the event, England won the game 4-0, with goals coming from Ralph Frempong (Fulham), David Bentley (Arsenal) and two from Andrew Bell (Blackburn Rovers).
England and Italy played out a goalless draw in the final, with England winning the game, and tournament, 4-2 on penalties.
The win caps a fine season for the Under-15s, who have not lost any of their eight games this season.
