Fabio Capello has confirmed that David Beckham will win his 100th England cap against France in Paris on Wednesday night.

The Italian refused to reveal whether the LA Galaxy midfielder will start at the Stade de France, but says he will play some part in the contest.

"I would not have asked David to travel all the way from Los Angeles if I was not to play him," he said.

"I know David and I know what he can give. He can make the difference in many respects.

"Every player would love to win 100 caps for his country and not many do it, so for this achievement we have to congratulate David."
