With two important Euro 2008 Qualifiers against Estonia and Russia for England over the next week, SteveMcClaren faces a big decision on whether to rest influential skipper John Terry and also bring Frank Lampard back into the team.

Terry had surgery on a broken cheekbone just last week so has to play with the aid of a special face mask and also has a booking to his name, whilst Lampard is back in training after six weeks out with a thigh injury which forced him to miss the victories against Israel and Russia last month.

Numerous permutations have been mooted, but whether or not Terry is rested on Saturday for the trip to Moscow or whether McClaren keeps faith with the midfielders who played the last two games remains to be seen.

The England Head Coach knows he will be judged on his decision, but says he can handle the pressure and is confident his side have the ability to qualify for the European Championship Finals next summer.

“My job is to make the right decisions,” said McClaren.

“There are always big issues being the England manager and they all affect the outcome.

“We have played two cup finals and have now got three left. It is in our hands to put ourselves in an even better position after these two games.

“This is what we are working towards and it always goes down to the wire. We have got three big games to go and the anticipation is there for everyone.

“I want to see the English style of play with a high tempo and that gets the crowd behind us. Teams struggle to handle us when we play like that.”
