Lescott wins a Koldo goal-kick on the halfway line. Rooney crosses from the left and Defoe arches his neck in an attempt to meet the ball, but can't quite reach and the ball drifts out of play.

A Lampard corner presents England with another opportunity as they continue to dominate proceedings. Joleon Lescott heads the corner back across goal for Gareth Barry to prod goalwards. Rooney slides in, but the ball slips past the post.

An early ball in from Downing gives Defoe his first opportunity of the night, but his snap-shot from the edge of the box flies over the bar.

Ashley Cole wins a free-kick which Stewart Downing takes. His out-swinging dead ball almost invites Rooney to strike at goal, but Andorra manage to repel the attack.
