Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has been withdrawn from the England squad due to injury, with Portsmouth's Jermain Defoe being called up.

An FA spokesman said: "Following his injury today Gabriel Agbonlahor has withdrawn from the England squad and will not be required to report. Jermaine Defoe has been called up this evening."
