England were back in training on Tuesday in preparation for their two upcoming qualifiers and Head Coach Steve McClaren insists his side are fully focussed on beating Estonia at Wembley.

The team were out at their London Colney training base as they look forward to two important games, first on Saturday then away in Moscow.

McClaren's men face Russia just four days after the tie against Estonia and there had been suggestions that McClaren would rest some of his stars – including skipper John Terry – to ensure their fitness for the crunch clash against Guus Hiddink’s Russian side.

But McClaren has warned England must first see off Estonia: “It’s up to us,” said McClaren. “We have to do the business at Wembley, get the three points and then move on, we can’t look too far ahead.”

And McClaren also revealed that he is pleased with how his stars are performing in training – particularly striker Michael Owen and midfielder Frank Lampard.

He said: “Michael looked extremely sharp today, all of the players did, especially considering that most of them played only two days ago for their clubs.

“Frank Lampard has nothing to prove. He has been excellent for me – I thought he was our best player in the recent friendly against Germany – and he is another player who is looking good in training.

“I will wait until Friday and see how he is, just as I will with the rest of the team, but it’s looking good so far.”
