David Beckham hopes he will be an England player for 'many, many years' to come after inpsiring the Three Lions to victory in Estonia.
Beckham has made a successful return to the England side, setting up John Terry's goal against Brazil last week and creating two goals in Tallinn in a 3-0 victory.
Now the Real Madrid star, who is set to move to LA Galaxy in America this summer, believes he has the fitness and the desire to extend his international career yet further.
When asked if he continue through to the Euro 2008 finals, he said: "Yes, I believe I can carry on for a long time.
"I'm sure LA Galaxy will do everything possible to help me to play for my country and I'll definitely be here.
"I believe I can play for many, many years but we will have to wait and see, A lot of things change in football but I believe I can play for many, many years."
Beckham has been delighted not just with his own form back in the famous white shirt but also with those of all his teammates.
He said: "I think we have been pleased with the last two weeks, starting with the 'B' game against Albania, going through to Brazil at Wembley and now this main game in Estonia.
"I think the Brazil game set us up for this game. We needed a good performance to get the confidence back and we did that against Brazil.
"Even though they scored in the last couple of minutes we felt we played our football and we performed well and it set us up for tonight where there have been some great performances all the way through the squad."
Reporters were quick to point out that England have been unbeaten since Beckham returned to the fold. But the suggestion drew only a knowing smile from the experienced star, who now has 96 caps.
He said: "We will wait and see. Hopefully it continues but I've enjoyed this last couple of weeks."
