Three Lions Captain John Terry has urged his team-mates to go to Estonia and win on Wednesday after coming so close to beating Brazil.

Only a last-gasp goal denied England victory over the Samba stars at Wembley last Friday - after Terry had headed his team in front.

And now the Chelsea defender believes his side are in the right frame of mind to pick up three crucial Euro 2008 qualifying points in Tallinn.

He said: “We wanted both the result and the performance against Brazil and we certainly got the right performance, which I think we owed a lot of people.

“We showed that we are very passionate. We have given the fans what we said we would in front of 80,000 people and we owed them that.

“Now, though it is all about results. We can go there on Wednesday, play well and end up drawing or even losing the game, which is unthinkable. So we need to go to Estonia and pick up both the win and the performance.”

Terry also led the tributes to David Beckham, who made an impressive return to the national side and set up the new skipper’s goal.

“We had worked on it,” said Terry. “It was a fantastic cross from David - and I have been saying all week that is what he brings to the side.

“I just have to make sure I am in the right place at the right time and David will always pick one of us out. He played very well and it is fantastic to have him back.”
