John Terry used to pretend he was Pele when he was growing up, but on Friday night he'll have another Brazilian striker on his mind - Ronaldinho.

The England captain says he and his friends used to mimic the three-time World Cup winner during kickabouts in the park when they were young. However, the Chelsea man's job at Wembley will be a different task altogether.

"You just have to be on your game," said Terry as he contemplated marking the Barcelona maestro.

"You have to be fully fit coming into the game and let him know early on that you are ready, and whatever he's got to bring to the game you are going to match him."

However, Terry conceded it can be a difficult job. The pair have met a number of times before, when Chelsea have been drawn with Barcelona in the Champions League, and both players have enjoyed success, but the skipper hopes to gain the upper hand in their latest duel.

"He's a world class player and when he's on top of his game he's very difficult to stop."

Terry will be the first captain to lead out the senior side at the new Wembley, something he is relishing. But he insists England will be using the game as match practice ahead of The Three Lions' clash with Estonia on Wednesday.

"It's a dream come true to be leading the first ever England team out at the new Wembley," he added.

"I'm very much looking forward to that. I've got my family and my friends going to be at the game.

"This is a chance for us to get our sharpness and be ready for the Estonia game."

A test indeed, particularly for a defender considering Brazil also have a certain Kaka in their ranks, but it will be an occasion to savour.

"It's going to be a tough game," he said. "I'm looking forward to it though. I can't wait to get out there and start playing. We've had a week off since the season finished. I just want to get back out there and start playing."

Terry is one of a handful of players who will be treading on Wembley's hallowed for a second time having led Chelsea to FA Cup glory over Manchester United less than two weeks ago. Unsurprisingly, he's keen to get back to the new home of English football.

"I've got very good memories from the recent Wembley experience. I'm looking forward to going back there again and beating Brazil."
