Altrincham FC are offering England fans travelling to Old Trafford on Saturday the chance to get warmed up for the Euro 2008 Qualifier against Macedonia with a bit of Conference football.
If you've got your England match ticket, you'll be admitted into Moss Lane, six miles from Old Trafford, for half price to see the Conference National clash with third-placed Weymouth.
The idea was the brainchild of Alty supporter Pete Hughes, and anyone who
e-mails Pete
with their name and address will get into the game for just £5 on production of their England ticket along with some proof of ID.
You can reach Moss Lane by road on the A56, and the ground is just a ten-minute walk from the Altrincham Metrolink station at the end of the direct line to Old Trafford. So fans driving to Manchester could watch the game at Altrincham and leave their cars at the ground, or at the station, to avoid the traffic around Old Trafford.
Only those who send an e-mail in advance and produce valid England match tickets will be admitted at the discounted rate. Any questions can be directed to
Pete by e-mail
.
The game kicks off at 1pm, so it leaves fans plenty of time afterwards to get over to Old Trafford to see Steve McClaren's men in action at 5pm.
