The Chelsea winger set up the winning goal for Joe Cole against Wales on Saturday that made it six wins on the trot in the World Cup qualifers.

Sven-Goran Eriksson's side will be favourites to extend that impressive run in Belfast and push themselves ever closer to an automatic place in next summer's Finals in Germany.

But Wright-Phillips insists the players are not expecting it to be easy.

"We definitely need the same attitude against Northern Ireland that we had for the Wales game. You can't underestimate anybody and we go there knowing it is going to be a difficult game for us," he explained.

"Hopefully we can make it seven wins in a row in qualifying games and see what happens from there."

Wright-Phillips, who was making only his second start for England against Wales, was pleased with his own performance wide on the right of the midfield five.

He was given plenty of possession from David Beckham's long balls from deep and it was from one of the captain's passes that he was able to supply Cole with the chance that handed England victory.

"I still think I have got more to offer, but for one of my first starts for England I can't complain," he said.

"For the goal, there was some good communication between me and Becks and Coley just pulled off in the middle. Me and Beckham have that understanding and I knew what he wanted and he knew how I wanted it and I think it went pretty well.

"The players are overwhelmed really. We have got the confidence we needed and we are going to go out for the next game with the same attitude."
