What a lovely finish from Vassell! He and Heskey to a double one-two, Heskey eventually laying off a superb pass into Vassell's path and the Villa man curls a delightful shot round a defender and into the corner with his left foot. Great stuff from England!

Iceland so nearly score when Eidur Gudjohnsen hits the top of Walker's crossbar with a beautifully struck effort. England need to stay awake in defence.

Wayne Bridge grabs his first goal for England with a lovely finish. he lays the ball off for Butt before continuing his run into the box. Butt's chipped pass is headed on by Heskey and Bridge slams home a confident finish with his left foot.

Gudjohnsen's powerful run forward from the half-way line takes him clear of the England midfielders but Helguson fires a shot wide of Robinson's goal from his eventual pass.

Dyer nearly gets in behind the Iceland defence as Cole slips a nice pass through. However Arason does well to come out and claim the ball.

The referee blows for a foul by Bridge on Gudjohnsen. the free-kick is in a threatening position - just a few yards outside the area.

Joe Cole is immediately in the action, twisting and turning on the right wing but his cross is cut out before it can reach Vassell.
