David Beckham said that he was pleased with England's performance in tonight's friendly, even if it was a little "weird" to be playing on the right wing again.
England took the lead in the first minute of the second half as Ledley King poked a Beckham free-kick home from close range but Paris St. Germain striker Pauleta levelled the scores 20 minutes from time.
After the match Beckham said: "They had their chances but so did we and we played some good football at times.
"They've got some very skilful players and we've had a good workout.
"It's another good result really - but the important games come in the summer.
"We played some good football and if we can keep passing it like we did at times tonight then we're on the right road.''
The England captain usually plays in the centre of the midfield for his club side Real Madrid but tonight reverted to his familiar position for his country on the wing.
"It was weird being back out on the wing but it's something I'm going to have to do, because that's my position for England and it's different from Real Madrid.
"But if it's got to be done it's got to be done - anyone would give their right arm to play in the England team, so I'm happy wherever I play.''
