Portillo and Morientes were the goalscorers as Real beat the Thai national side 2-1 in the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.

French midfield star Zinedine Zidane had a spectacular second half as Real secured their fourth win in a row on their tour of the Far East.

Madrid were without the rested Ronaldo and Luis Figo and striker Raul only made a brief second half appearance.

The England captain had another good match, involving himself in everything that Real did and again impressing his Spanish observers with his work-rate.

Thailand scored to cancel out Portillo's 29th minute goal when Sutee Suksomkit latched onto a cross just after the hour.

However seven minutes later Morientes put Real back in front when he knocked home a rebound from a fierce Zidane effort.
