The FA's Acting Chief Executive, David Davies.
Davies on discussions
Wednesday, 30 April 2003.
TheFA.com Exclusive - After yesterday's meeting with some of the leading managers in the Premier League, we caught up with The FA's Acting Chief Executive, David Davies, to discuss the day's events...
"Today's meeting was the first of a series of meetings with Premier League managers," he told us last night.
"We had two hours of lively discussion and it can certainly be regarded as a success.
"Because this was the first of a series of meetings, we were not looking to draw definitive conclusions today.
"However, by the end of the meetings, it's our intention to draw up a statement of collective intent that we will all work towards. At that time, we'll be happy to discuss this publicly.
"It's fair to say that, judging by the success of today's meeting, we should have had more of this kind of discussion in the past.
"Sven and I are very much looking forward to tomorrow's meeting."
We'll keep you right up to date with this story.
