40'A chance for England to double their lead with half-time approaching. Young whips a delicious cross into the area but Rooney can't arch his neck enough to connect and the ball zips past the far post.

Ashley Young. The deadlock is broken by Manchester United's impressive new recruit. Downing does brilliantly to get past Joe Ledley before pulling the ball back to Young, who turns home at the near post.
33'Chris Gunter capitalises when an England move breaks down and raids down the inside right flank. He advances to just outside the box but slices his shot well wide.
