Capello: 'We lacked energy'

Manager says his players were tired in 2-2 draw with Switzerland.
Fabio Capello insists his players suffered from tiredness as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Switzerland.
England conceded goals to two free-kicks in the first half but came from 2-0 down to earn a point.
Capello said: “The problem is always the energy. You can see the Swiss players were fresher than us.
“The second half we played not so bad, good reaction. We had three chances to score goals. But you can see at the end of the game the last ten minutes, some players were without energy.”
Capello says he was disappointed with Switzerland’s early strikes, both scored by Tranquillo Barnetta. The first came direct from a free-kick into the box that was not cleared and sailed over Joe Hart; and the second resulted from a free-kick that beat Hart at the near post after England’s two-man wall appeared to part.
“Two goals, bad goals,” said Capello. “The second goal was a mistake from the two players in the wall. This is a really big mistake."
